Welcome to my new project

It took a writing retreat in a quaint mountain town with my fellow authors Candee Fick and Megan Menard over the Halloween weekend to kick-start a creative passion I thought the good Lord had shadowed forever. Oh, the thought of stories never left my overly romantic mind, but the ability to string words together had gone MIA.  Over the past 3 days, I’ve recaptured the joy of writing and have even discovered things about my characters I didn’t know. My next book is all plotted and waiting for words to fill the page.

I’m inviting everyone to come along on this journey with me. We’ll be discovering the secrets of a small mountain town in Colorado (delightfully similar to the one where I’ve just spent incredible creative renewal time.) Three families founded the town of Paterra Springs in the early 1860s. We have ranchers, resort owners, and even a working mineral mine.

Over the coming months, I’ll be gathering my thoughts and sharing photos as the story comes alive. If you have any thoughts or comments, please share them!

Oh, BTW, if you aren’t on my regular facebook page, I’m happy to repost a picture of the newest member of our family. “Puppy” now has a name, and her name is Dobby. Help us welcome this cute bundle of Corgi to the family!
